Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy takes place 15 years before the events of A Plague Tale: Requiem. Moving away from the siblings (Amicia and Hugo), the prequel follows a younger Sophia long before she met the family. Driven by a desire to uncover the secrets of her own family and her personal connection to the Macula curse, Sophia travels to the mysterious Minotaur's Island off the shores of Crete. She must navigate a treacherous landscape, put a stop to a hostile invading Venetian army hunting for ancient treasures, and venture into the darkest corners of the island's ruins to uncover the truth behind a long-buried curse and a terrifying presence lurking in the shadows that tracks her every move.

Cinematic Action Adventure: Experience a highly demanding combat system from a third person perspective, featuring precise parries, swift dodges, and visceral counter-attacks. Moving away from the heavy stealth focus of previous titles, Sophia is a much more capable, aggressive, and physical protagonist.

Climbing and Exploration: Drawing from Sophia's background as a seasoned plunderer, players utilize agile movement and climbing mechanics heavily reminiscent of Uncharted and Tomb Raider to navigate treacherous trails, vertical cliffs, and a highly detailed, labyrinthine island layout.

New Dual-Timeline Mechanic: While the main journey follows Sophia's medieval adventure, the game features a unique dual-timeline structure. Players shift between the Middle Ages and the ancient Minoan period, where historical echoes and events from the past directly shape the layout, puzzles, and battles of the present day.

Light Manipulation: This game introduces a crucial new puzzle mechanic: a stolen Minoan sphere capable of manipulating light. Built into the heart of the island by the mythic figure Daedalus, players must use this artifact to solve ingenious environmental puzzles inside ancient temples.
