📝 SUMMARY

This exclusive Unreal Engine 5 preview showcases early gameplay of the upcoming dark fantasy action RPG, The Relic. The game blends a tragic open world with tactical, souls-like combat that will appeal to fans of Elden Ring and Dark Souls.

✒️ DESCRIPTION

The Relic: First Guardian is an upcoming dark fantasy action RPG deeply rooted in Asian mythology and folklore. Set in the once-peaceful land of Arsiltus, players step into the shoes of the First Guardian to fight against a devastating blight. The narrative explores themes of love, tragedy, and untraditional heroism as players journey to weave the world back together and restore peace once and for all.

💥 GAMEPLAY FEATURES

Stamina-Based Tactical Combat: The game features a unique combat system where stamina is reserved strictly for defense and dodging, meaning attacks do not deplete your resources. Skills operate entirely on cooldowns, allowing players to maintain a fluid, aggressive combat rhythm.

Deep Build Customization: Players can choose from 5 distinct weapon types (including blades, battle axes, and staves) and explore 12 exclusive skill trees. Weapons can be imbued with magical abilities to allow players to blend skills and form their own completely unique class.

Relic Progression System: Moving away from traditional character levels, character growth relies on collecting memories called Relics. There are over 70 unique Relics to find, each granting distinct passive effects that alter combat tempo, reshape skill behaviors, and enhance specific weapon styles.

Formidable Brutal Bosses: Prepare to test your skills against over 70 tough boss encounters known as "brutals," requiring players to perfectly master their chosen playstyle and weapons to survive.

✅ RELEASE DATE AND PLATFORMS

The Relic: First Guardian launches for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam on July 31, 2026. The Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 versions will follow later in the summer of 2026.
